Origin Cafe may not be the top café in Erbil, but it’s definitely one of the most enjoyable spots. They serve delicious coffee, making it a great choice for coffee enthusiasts. However, they use plastic plates and cups, which might not appeal to everyone. Despite this, the outdoor seating area offers a beautiful view, making it a relaxing place to enjoy your drink.

Bad coffee, bad pastry

The place isn't clean. Many flies are around.

The worst place to get coffee is in those cheap paper cups, which are anything but classy. Coffee served in respectable establishments should be in earthenware cups, not served in such an ugly way! And it's expensive too...

Went to Origin and had a really frustrating experience. We very clearly ordered 2 caramel matchas, 1 plain croissant, 1 chocolate milkshake, 1 caramel milkshake, and 2 sandwiches. When the order came, the croissant was missing, both matchas were missing, and the caramel milkshake was missing too. The caramel milkshake came and it was actually vanilla. Also no fork. And they were avoiding our table. On top of that, there was literally a hair ball in one of the sandwiches. Absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable. The coffee prices are really inflated and mediocre. People only go for a quick Instagram post, not the actual quality....drinking coffee in your car is not a flex. A double espresso should never cost over 5k that’s just greed. Suggestion, make the prices normal, increase the cup sizes to adults sizes, and take a note from places like Urban that price according to market.
