This park is one of the amazing and famous parks in Duhok. The view from the park is unbelievable from all sites.

Nice place for family and kids

A place to go with family and friends. There are statues, gardens, kids play area. Statue and the throne is placed on a platform on the upper level which can be reached by a large ramp. Park has been made on several levels connected by staircase. So normally we enter and get to the top level through the ramp and from there we take staircase to go down to other levels from the three sides. Ample sitting space too. Kids Play area and other walkways are on the lower level but the door has been closed. So one need to take another entrance from outside for the park. No cafeteria or anything to eat

​Azadi Park is undoubtedly a very nice place with a lot of potential. The layout is wonderful, and it offers a great escape into nature right in the middle of the area. ​However, it is clear that the park is currently quite unattended. The lack of proper maintenance and upkeep really detracts from the experience. With a little more care, regular cleaning, and attention from management, this could easily be a five-star destination. It’s worth a visit for the green space, but go in with managed expectations regarding its condition.
