Charmo University (also known as ChU), established in 2014, is a public university located in Chamchamal, within the Kurdistan Region of Iraq . t began as a subsidiary of the University of Sulaimani but became an independent institution in late 2014. It is officially recognized by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher . The university is organized into three main colleges: College of Education, College of Administration and Economics· College of Science. The main campus is on the Sulaimani-Kirkuk road. Its name comes from the ancient agricultural village of "Charmo," located nearby
