You don’t need to go to Italy to taste their food . They brought Italy to you 😍 i guess that if you yourself don’t go there you won’t believe how good their food is . But make sure that you take a lot of money with you😂 their food is amazing but i think that it costs a little bit too much even for that amazing place .. like i have never paid so much for a bottle of water 😂 is it zamzam water perhaps ? 😂😂 but if you’re rich and you’re looking for good food here you can find it . & also about the bathrooms 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ if you want an adventure you’ll love how hidden it is especially if you are

Everything is excellent!!! Couldn't believe to say that but really really impressed by this place! Food is more than amazing more than yummy! I had the best pizza in town so far! They're irreplaceable! The atmosphere is excellent! Wow! Decoration is simply nice and elegant! The cozy vibes they give you is everything the place is not crowded at wll you'll be comfy really! The staff are extra nice and kind and well trained! The materials that they use even it's obvious that it's something from somewhere special! Even the background music helps you to relax! Amazing Italian Restaurant. Went for our anniversary dinner, and we really enjoyed ourselves. The food was great, the service was amazing, and the ambiance was beautiful. I highly recommend going if you have not.

A very good Italian restaurant in the heart of Erbil. The food was great except for the fillet, which was dry and not up to standard for such a restaurant. Everything else was great. Hookah was available. The appetizers were also great. There are VIP rooms for private parties. A delicious and excellent restaurant with an Italian flavor, located in the well-known Empire area in the heart of Erbil. Hookah is available, and all kinds of Western and Italian dishes are served. There is also a VIP area with private reservations.

Not gonna lie I liked each and every single time I ate here. Food always good and up to my standards. I always go to Don Genaro for a quick lunch whenever I can or with friends when I’ve time. Most of the time lunch time. I usually enjoy a good espresso martini around that time but they almost every time fail to have a bartender available. Only once the bartender was there. Id genuinely suggest to have a bartender available from early opening hours as some of us sleep early lol. Also pricey but it’s okay for me.

The restaurant is a great place for an Italian express, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, and all the food tastes as lovely as it looks. But a tad expensive.

We went for lunch (“lunch menu offer”) appetizers were 50/50, ceasar salad and eggplant parmagiano were good, Fries were thick and soggy. Calamari wasnt crispy enough, and the sauces it came with weren’t good. pizza was weirdly sour????????? Prawn fussilini (had 4 pieces of prawn) was literally uncooked. Mushroom fillet medallion tasted good. Service was great. Prices were high. Overall okay.

The food, service, and atmosphere is excellent, they serve top quality Italian food, and most importantly legit Pasta in town. However, it's a little bit overpriced.

I’ve been here twice and i loved everything the first time. I had planned a birthday surprise for my friend and everything went along very smoothly. We ordered 2 Caesar salads, 1 pizza, 1 side of fries, and 2 coke zeros (they didn’t have coke zero and instead replaced it with diet pepsi and i was a little disappointed) everything was really good. The fries were perfectly thin and crunchy. The caesar salad was crunchy and had the right amount of sauce. The only disappointing aspect was the pizza. It didn’t have enough sauce in my opinion. As well as the chicken in the Caesar salad, it was bland

I visited Don Gennaro after reading all the great reviews, but my experience was not similar to them, the place is nice the service was excellent but the food was really average and some was below average ( the chicken in the ceaser salad was still raw and the dressing has no flavour and the mozzarella plate wasnt tasty) , i am pretty sure that i was not lucky that day but i will give it another try soon.

Good Italian restaurant

Genuinely the most delicious food I’ve had all my life. I cannot speak highly enough of every single dish I’ve had in Don Gennaro, whether dine-in or had delivered home. Their service is top notch and the staff are all so so lovely to deal with. The overall vibes of the restaurant are so fancy and I just can noooot stop talking about it to everyone I have and will meet.😄 (ps make sure you have the bruschetta because it tastes like a piece of heaven served on a plate)

One of my favourite of all times. Everything is perfect, the seabass is a piece of art, Ravioli is perfection on a plate. the dessert is to die for. it's literally the most amazing place in Erbil to eat in.

Beautiful place. The atmosphere was soothing and charming. The restaurant location is strategic and away from the rest of cafés and bars, perfectly quiet. You can enjoy your meal and chat with your companion. The food is delicious, the service is top-notch, and most importantly... the staff are pretty courteous and professional. The food at Don Gennaro is nothing short of exceptional. As a fan of Italian cuisine, I can confidently say that this restaurant serves some of the most delicious and authentic dishes I've ever tasted outside of Italy. Their pasta dishes are cooked to perfection, with homemade sauces that burst with flavor.

It was a work outing and we enjoyed the experience. Food was remarkably good. Atmosphere and ambiance was a delight. Staff was super helpful and they explained the menu thoroughly. Great place will def go there next time in Erbil.

We had our anniversary dinner at don gennaro with my husband. When i made reservation, i told them us anniversary. They surprised us and prepared a special cake for us. (Also they dont accept cake payment, it was a gift) It was very polite behavior. And we ate pasta and pizza. All of taste is very good. It has become a place we will always choose. I like there.

There is no other place that would make you feel so close to home while you live far away. I had the pleasure of dining regularly at DG over the last year and half, pizza is great, truffle ravioli out of the world, great service professional and friendly staff and management. 👍 amazing!

Unfortunately smoking is not banned so the colleagues bridged the time until the food came with smoking, for nonsmokers a bit difficult. Nevertheless when being there with a smaller group it is a perfect place for lunch and dinner and on Fridays there is wonderful live music.

Well for sure this is one of the finest restaurants in Erbil.....Great food ...great and professional staff...You will probably notice that I mostly give 5 Star to everyone that I have reviewed...But Im just honest....If there are 6 or 7 ⭐...Don Gennaro would definitely get one of them....
