Erbil Hotel in Sulaymaniyah has an excellent location — right on Aqqari Street, across from City Star Mall, and very close to Salim and Mawlawi streets. Everything is nearby, including local markets and restaurants.
The hotel is new, and the rooms are very clean. However, the service still needs some improvement. One important note: the soundproofing is not great, especially during busy seasons or if you’re next to families with kids.
Overall, it’s a great value for the price — just $30 per night, which is very reasonable considering the cleanliness.

A very modern and well-maintained hotel with new rooms and super deluxe bathrooms. Located at the beginning of Salem Street, near Azadi Mall, opposite City Stars Mall, and surrounded by restaurants. I booked via mobile phone on April 15th for three days, including Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The price per night is 75,000 (currency unspecified), including an excellent breakfast. I highly recommend it.

One of the best hotels in the Sulaimaniyah area, close to all services and very near the famous Salem Street. I highly recommend it for its excellent staff and service, and there is parking available.

Very good, beautiful hotel, I recommend it

The place is disorganized, the customer service is poor, and you have to sign everything. The receptionist tells you to check out by 12:00 sharp; if you're a minute late, they'll extend your check-in for another day. The motel smells awful, it's old and dirty, and the prices are exorbitant for a motel of this size.

It's really good, the hotel is nice and the apartment is very large, enough for 6 people.

My parents are currently staying at this hotel, and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful for the experience you’re giving them. From the moment they arrived, they’ve felt welcomed, comfortable, and truly cared for.
They keep telling me how attentive and kind the staff are—always going the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. The room is spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail seems thoughtfully arranged, which has made their stay feel extra special.
What means the most to me is how relaxed and happy they sound. Knowing they are being looked after

I live in London, and my parents are currently staying at Erbil Hotel in Sulaymaniyah while my mother is receiving treatment. Even from a distance, I feel completely reassured knowing they are in such excellent hands.
The level of service provided by the hotel is truly outstanding. The staff are professional, attentive, and genuinely caring, always going above and beyond to ensure my parents are comfortable and well looked after. The hotel itself is exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and provides a very comfortable and welcoming environment.
It gives me great peace of mind knowing that my

The Erbil Hotel in Sulaymaniyah is an excellent hotel with very clean rooms that are modern and of a good size, free WiFi, complimentary breakfast, friendly staff and management. I have always found the staff to be very helpful and kind, going the extra mile to assist people staying at the hotel. Good English is spoken besides the Lingua Franca of Kurdish and Arabic. I have travelled all over the world and the Erbil Hotel is extremely good. I have no hesitation in recommending the Erbil Hotel to anyone who values professional friendly staff and genuine service. I have stayed in the hotel m

I'm amazed by the service, hospitality and professionalism. You won't be disappointed staying at the hotel. Amazing beds, great breakfast at the same time inside the city centre.

I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times and always had a great experience—clean rooms, friendly staff, and a convenient location. However, I was really disappointed to see the prices suddenly triple with no noticeable improvements or upgrades to justify the change. It feels like they’re taking advantage of returning guests, which is unfortunate. Still a nice place, but not worth the new price tag.

This hotel has been rebuilt and has an excellent room, especially for families, and is considered excellent.

Avoid this cheap & low customer service hotel, they have fake online reservations when you arrive, they will double the price.

I called the hotel and they confirmed that they had a reservation for me. However, when I arrived, the receptionist told me the hotel was fully booked and that there was no reservation.
I explained that I had already called and was told to come because a reservation was available. Shockingly, he responded with, “Do you think I’m lying to you?”
After insisting, he finally checked the system and realized there actually was a reservation. His behavior was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful, completely unsuitable for someone working as a receptionist in a hotel that claims to be reputabl

Price 100 for three people
The room is clean and the bathrooms are new
The location is very good
Cons
The breakfast is very meager and lacks variety
The hotel has an indoor and outdoor parking garage 100 meters away, but both are small
At night, the rooms on the second floor smell of shisha from the cafe on the first floor because there is no soundproofing
The reception staff are rude and unhelpful with carrying luggage

The rooms are clean. The service is average. The breakfast is poor.
It has an excellent location.
I recommend it for tourists.

It's clear from the reviews that the service is very bad. This is the most annoying thing about the trip, even if the service is 5-star. If the staff is arrogant and condescending, that's enough to ruin your trip and spoil the atmosphere. On the other hand, good service and respect can compensate for even bad service. So, X on this hotel.

About a very unsuccessful experience in the beautiful city of Sulaymaniyah, and the reason is that the owner of the Sulaymaniyah, My City page lied to us and made the hotel his own.
The bitter truth is that the receptionists' treatment is absolutely shameful and the manners are tiring.
The mattress breaks your body, you feel like you're sleeping on wood, even though it's very clean.
The bathroom is very good and clean.
The restaurant is located on the first floor. The food is not good, tastes bad, is scarce, and is disorganized. The noise of the noise reaches the rooms, and there are few table

The hotel's reception staff were very rude and unfriendly. After a two-day stay, they informed me that the price would increase on the third day, a fact they hadn't mentioned upon arrival. Their attitude was incredibly disrespectful. While the rooms were clean and tidy, the mattresses were extremely hard and unsuitable for sleeping; they felt like a hard floor. I strongly advise against staying at this terrible hotel. There are many better options nearby.

The hotel is amazing, but one employee at reception lacks courtesy.
Cleanliness 10/10, Location 9/10, Breakfast 7/10, Reception 4/10

Honestly, the hotel was clean.
But I booked online, went to their office, they confirmed the reservation, and I stayed for the two nights I had booked and paid for in advance.
When I tried to leave the hotel, they told me I had to pay for another night. I told them I had booked two nights, but they said the booking price was too low and wouldn't let me stay. It's a long story. I had to call the police to get my documents.

The hotel is clean and tidy, in a great central location, and the service staff are very helpful and friendly. However, the problem lies in the reservations; there's a lack of credibility. There's an employee at the information desk who is rude and condescending to guests. When I complained, they lost the family's IDs and delayed our departure. I think this damages the hotel's reputation.

I was planning to book, but after seeing the comments about the bad service, I canceled the reservation at this hotel. I'm paying my own money and looking for comfort, not to pay and have the receptionist or hotel employee treat me badly... and there are definitely better hotels out there for the same price.

A classy and well-organized hotel in a prime location. The rooms are exceptionally clean, and the bathrooms are top-notch. One minor issue: there's no hot water in the room; it takes 40 minutes for lukewarm water to arrive.

The hotel is terrible in terms of service and the rooms have very thin curtains that wake you up from your sleep. Breakfast is a minus 10. The reception staff are unprofessional.

One of the worst experiences was dealing with the reception staff on the morning shift; it was a disaster. You'd think they lived there for free.

The best hotel in the world! I went there with my mom and dad. It's so beautiful, I mean, it's amazing! It's on another street, it's amazing! What's wrong with you? It's really beautiful!

Very disappointing.
Poor reception and insulting treatment.
Poor rooms and uncomfortable bedding.
No parking space.
The price is high for the hotel's standard and services.
The breakfast is bad.
I won't repeat the mistake.
Originally from Google
The hotel is excellent in terms of cleanliness, location, room size, bathrooms, air conditioning, and parking. However, the breakfast is very, very bad, the internet is very unreliable, the elevators are insufficient for the number of guests, and some of the reception staff are condescending towards customers, giving the impression that they are doing you a favor by offering you a place to stay. They speak in a condescending manner, especially the one with the blond hair and blond beard.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had. Terrible service.
Originally from Google
The hotel is very good and the cleanliness is excellent, but the reception staff need to be more professional. I don't know their working conditions; they might be difficult, but the receptionist is the face and soul of the hotel.

The worst reception and welcome in the world; it makes you feel like you're begging from this tall guy and the new girls.

I regret spending a night at this hotel. It's unsuitable for families, their reception was poor, their service was bad, the food was awful, everything was wrong.

Unfortunately, I booked through their app and called them, but when I arrived at the hotel they said all the rooms were full… and they didn't offer any solutions.

Clean hotel with reasonable prices. Breakfast is not good. There is a problem with the generators on the top floors. It was very annoying. We couldn't sleep at night. The next day we went down to the lower floors.

It was expensive at the time. We rented a 3-bedroom apartment with a living room and bathroom for $150, and a 1-bedroom apartment for $100. Their reception and service weren't great; they always spoke in a way that seemed irritable. The bathroom was just okay, and the rooms weren't very high quality, but the apartment had a nice view of the street.
