Friendly staff. Until you pick up the car. They required to handover my passport during the entire car rental. Otherwise they would not rent out the car which I had already paid for online. They could not understand there are countries in the world that don't allow their citizens to handover your passport for that this purpose and that for a significant number of days! It took at least half an hour discussion before flexibility was demonstrated by agreeing me to keep my passport and handing over another document. A very bad experience. I booked and paid for a car in advance and was able to provide proof of payment. Despite this, they claimed they hadn't received any money. Furthermore, there was no Europcar station at Erbil airport, even though I had assumed there would be. The entire process was very disappointing, and I didn't feel like I was being taken seriously. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this company and would never book with them again. Stay away!

There was no check-in station in the terminal; they wanted to keep our passports and then charge us $25 for the cancellation. It seemed fraudulent.

This was by far the worst car rental experience I’ve ever had. Europcar Erbil falsely claims to have an office inside the airport on Check24 – that’s a lie. They’re actually somewhere out on the street, not at the terminal. I had to wait 45 minutes at the airport, calling several times before someone finally showed up. They even demanded to keep my passport as collateral, despite me having full insurance coverage and already paying a €300 deposit. Throughout my stay, they kept harassing me with constant phone calls, showing zero professionalism. At one point, they even forgot the office key

Avoid Europcar Erbil – completely unprofessional! I had a confirmed booking through Carla for a rental car with Europcar Erbil. When I arrived at the airport, no one was there – not a single staff member, no counter, not even a visible office. It turns out there is no real Europcar presence at Erbil Airport. I waited for more than 2.5 hours, tried calling multiple times – but no answer, no support, no explanation. This was a total waste of time and extremely frustrating after a long flight. For me, it’s clear: never again Europcar in Erbil!

This place is a fraud! They were supposed to provide me a full size SUV, but they brought me a smaller SUV. I honestly did not pay attention because I was with my parents and in hurry to go to slemany. As for the security deposit, they supposed to return the money but they deducted $15 for whatever reason 30 days after returning the car. I will never get car from this place and got disappointed with the people wirking here. The staff at the branch are very nice and professional, from the employee at the airport to the employee at the branch, but despite being a long-standing customer, the management gave me a car at the airport, a maroon Renault. The car is very bad, from the Bluetooth to the car speakers, to the appearance of frequent problems in the car screen, a faulty tire indicator, faulty sensors.
