I joined a two day tour with Gerrok and my guide was Mohammed. We spent a lot of time discovering different parts of Kurdistan as well as learning about the history of the country. Mohammed has a lot of knowledge about his country, you can ask him about the history, culture, food, anything… and he’ll have an answer. The tour was amazing, we saw some amazing views, had a lot of local delicious food and met a lot of friendly and nice locals. And about the security/safety, Kurdistan is extremely safe so don’t even worry about it. I’d love to be back one day and join them for their longer tours.

We spent five days on a 100Km hike from village to village, staying and eating with local families, and three other days visiting cultural and historical sites. Muhammed is the most knowledgeable guy you could go with. He knows all of the information. He also gives it with an unbiased point of view and really appreciated how much thought and effort he puts into everything. We did a private tour and it was definitely the best option we could’ve done, but I know he has other options for all price ranges so you can go on a group tour if you do not have the funds for a private tour and you’ll still get a great experience.

Our one day travel with kak Hama was really good. He had plenty of attention to the details and took us to one of the oldest aquaducts in the world and showed us around in the Holy place of Lalesh. My husband and I booked via Instagram for a 2 days archeological/ historical tour with the wonderful and lovely guide Roza! We would certainly go with her again in the near future. I visited Kurdistan togethers with my dad and brother in 2018, with Mohammed as our guide and driver. It was an unforgettable trip, which would never have been possible without Mohammed’s help - he showed us so many things, like old Assyrian wall art, wine cellars of Al-qosh, amazing food and even got us access to a minaret in the mosque of Amediye with a view over the whole city.
