A terrible hotel with a massage parlor and a nightclub on the second floor. The service is so bad that there are foul smells in the rooms. The furnishings are hairy and disgusting. It is completely unfit for habitation.

A very bad hotel with extremely poor staff service. The hotel is just a disco... The cleanliness level is very bad... The electricity is cut off from 5 to 7 AM... My experience with them for one night was very bad.

This hotel is filthy and a complete disaster, and their service is awful. No normal person would stay there. Bringing food and alcohol is prohibited, and there's a $150 fine. One elevator works, and the other is broken and incredibly slow; you have to wait 5-10 minutes to use it. The beds are so dirty you can see hair on them. The bathrooms are like public toilets. The reception staff are appallingly unprofessional. This can't possibly be a hotel. See the pictures for yourselves.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Large, clean, rooms. A long walk or quick cab ride gets you downtown. The food was good and the bar had plenty of cold beer. Good internet access. I enjoyed my stay!

One of the worst hotels in Erbil The bed sheets are dirty and there is no room service at all the breakfast which is supposed to be an open buffet is disappointing. If there is a rating below zero the hotel would definitely deserve it

Unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had, and what happened at the Hawler Plaza Hotel is nothing like a 4-star hotel. From the moment I arrived, the problems were obvious: The cleanliness was appalling, and the furniture was old and dilapidated to a disgusting degree.
