We were met early in the morning at the airport and taken to the Hertz office nearby. A brand-new Toyota Urban Cruiser (only 200 km on the odometer) was ready for us. Options of rental cars with customer service - not much flexibility This is the usual annual car rental - i usually rent 2 months the car from them- from Mark- he is the person always makes me back- he have a great customer skills. I even refer anyone to them- This year was hectic - They usually offer the return to the airport free of charge - this year they charged me 50$ for that ! Which is unbelievable! Dealing with Kakah Mohammed was absolutely wonderful. He's a lovely, kind, and quick person to help you with your car rental needs at any time. The reason I'm giving them four stars is, frankly, the requirement to leave your original passport at the office for the entire duration of your stay. I've never experienced this in any other country I've traveled to. I hope this passport requirement will be waived. Thank you very much.

There is nothing wrong with cars or the company, but i had to change my business trip schedule and leave early but they have refused to refund the rest of my money, i have asked them to take some of the amount as a penalty for my change but they refused . At the same time my hotel refunded the full amount, my airplane ticket changed me but Hertz simply took my money

They gave me a car with a missing logo piece on the rim! When I brought it back that guy said where is this piece and I’m like that’s how I got it and he’s like no it was here and I asked him to call the guy that rented the car from and he was in on it with him!! And they accused me of changing it! And threatened me that he will take the car to inspection the next day and if there anything wrong they will charge my credit card! They might do something to charge me! Worst experience! Worst people! They have became like the Turkish people! 1st and last time I will ever come to erbil! They invest

They wanted me to take their car to a garage during my vacation to change the oil and filter. It wasn't that I didn't want to do it for them, but I simply didn't have the time, and for that reason, they unfairly took an extra 50 euros from me. I don't think this is the renter's responsibility.

Terrible experience. 100% waste of time and energy trying to use Hertz in Erbil. Do not recommend to anyone. I booked online 22 days before my travel. I called the phone number listed online and was told that the car could be used to travel anywhere in Iraq, including Baghdad, and it had unlimited mileage. When I arrived in Erbil Airport, they could never find my reservation. I gave them my reservation code, name, date that it was booked etc. We were also told at this time that the car couldn’t be taken out of Kurdistan.
