Well run hotel with friendly staff. They definitely know how to run hotels - the first hotel on this iraq trip that do not have overflowing bathrooms. They have multiple hooks for you to hang your clothes in the bathroom and many plugs in the room. Basic things but solely lacking in many Iraqi hotels.

I had an amazing stay at Sofi Hotel in Duhok! The staff were so friendly, the rooms were spotless, and the breakfast was delicious — especially the fresh bread. Everything felt calm, clean, and welcoming. I’ll definitely come back again .

The rooms and lobby are very comfortable and the location is fine, just outside the city center. Beware: if you want to pay by MasterCard, they change you 5000 dinars extra for every 100.000 dinars you owe. They will not tell you this beforehand. They claim it's transaction fees. They also charged us for drinking water from the room fridge. There was no water in the fridge. Only on the desk, and they told us it was free. Also, house keeping does not clean the room during your stay. They only straighten your sheets. I would recommend this hotel for the room. Not for the service.

Rooms are alright but you can't control the AC at all. Room cleaning consisted of something we don't really know, as they didn't vacuum or replenish anything. Breakfast is mediocre and they put the cookies in a cupboard in the breakfast area for the day after. Disgusting. The staff at the desk is very friendly, especially the young man working the night shifts. The big man who's super intense and presumably the boss is however not good. Well hotel was decent. Though I asked for water and they gave me water, but they charged me saying that glass water was not free. Well you should have told me the options. They told me they have special membership for their guests with 3 restaurants and I'll get discount if they order for me. The Price of food on Talebat app was 14000, they were selling to me 25000 for the same restaurant. Dude it's so cheap, deceiving people. And owner of restaurant was doing it. This is my second stay here in a row. I choose Sofia Hotel spontaneously. I was lucky though. Cousy, silent, well clean, price is good shortly best option in Duhok city. It’s in the center of almost every PoI, Malls, clubs and so on. I have to mention Mr. Salar who is very helpful, communicative and for sure hospitable person. I believe he is a good value for this place. Sofia hotel is my sole address in Duhok.

It was an excellent hotel The best hotel you will find in duhok if you are ever visiting kurdistan you must go to duhok and visit this hotel it has everything you need from a gym to a sauna and this hotel will even do your laundry from a couple cents to very few dollars I highly recommend this hotel👏🏻

A wonderful hotel in a beautiful location. The rooms are excellent, and the service is outstanding. The reception staff are professional and skilled at dealing with guests. The breakfast was exceptional with a wide variety of dishes and choices. It was an excellent experience. I highly recommend the Sofia Hotel.

Room: Our room was fine in terms of amenities. Every room has an ironing board and iron, which is very good. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was not there. The bathroom was dirty, whether it was the toilet, shower, sink, or floor. It wasn't vacuumed during the entire week of our stay, and the bed linens weren't changed either. Service: The staff was very nice and helpful, especially the "older" gentleman at the reception. He was always helpful and very polite... as were all the other staff. By far the worst hotel staff I've ever experienced – I've never encountered anything like it anywhere in the world. We booked the hotel through Vio.com and received a confirmation. It was my first experience with Vio.com – unfortunately, not a good one. Despite the confirmation, the booking was canceled, but the money was still debited, and we were suddenly left without accommodation. The reception staff was anything but helpful. This hotel is one of the worst in terms of customer service. We came to the hotel based on good reviews, but the shock came from the receptionist; his service was extremely bad. Honestly, I didn't even get to see the hotel or the room because of the terrible service.

The hotel is considered beautiful, but unfortunately, the reception is very poor and the staff's behavior is appalling. They compare themselves to luxury hotels like DDK and other five-star establishments. In my opinion, they should replace the receptionist and provide additional staff.
